Key Responsibilities:

For the following activities it is expected that the Graduate Process Engineer will support the following activities:

 

  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are kept in line with the company BMS.
  • Quality assurance is maintained to conform to customer specifications.
  • Develop and manage current processes and techniques.
  • Contribute toward continual improvement techniques.
  • Management of core process documentation.
  • Develop and support processes for new products if required.
  • Achieve higher productivity levels by highlighting area of potential improvement and put detailed plans in place to implement these.
  • Compile justifications for the purchase of new equipment which would lead to productivity improvements.
  • Cost down in method, tools and materials.
  • Support Quality engineering in defect investigation and deliver root cause resolution.
  • Ensure that overall production is meeting set targets and assist in the reduction of reject levels to accepted limits.
  • Be part of CI teams in all manufacturing aspects.

 

For the following activities it is expected that the Graduate Process Engineer supports the project team to meet the Phase Exit milestones.

  • Support Design for Manufacture activities throughout the project as required.
  • DFMEA
  • Individual part reviews to feed into the CTS (Tooling documentation).
  • Support project development activities.
  • Support and lead where necessary Pre- Series builds.
  • Support Manufacturing until Phase 7 is closed (Project Closed)

 

All of the above activities are to be carried out whilst adhering to Wipac’s Health and Safety, Environmental and 5S policies.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A degree in a technical based subject e.g mechanical engineering
  • Ability to understand and deploy process control techniques.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving skills.
